MALTA HISTORIC CITIES FESTIVAL

7 – 17 October 2004

Eleven days of cultural entertainment focusing on Malta’s main historic towns, namely those of Valletta, Mdina, Victoria in Gozo, Birgu, Bormla and Senglea.  A number of concerts will be held outdoors and inside historic buildings and Baroque churches. The festival will present Maltese as well as international talent. The culmination of the festival will be the Valletta Military Tattoo which will be held at Palace Square, Valletta on the 16th and 17th October. wholesale VoIP

• Gregorian Chant in various churches – 7th, 8th and 9th  October
• Marching by Majorette bands – 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th October
• Traditional Gozitan Banquet in Victoria Gozo - 9th October
• Concert of Post War Melodies in Senglea – 13th October
• Concert of Sacred Music at St. John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta - 14th October
• Concert: From Gershwin to Glenn Miller in Bormla - 15th  October
• Napoleonic Pageantry in Victoria, Gozo - 9th October; Valletta - 17th October
• Birgu By Night: Music, wine and traditional Maltese food – 9th October
• Rooke Marching Band (Gibraltar) –  14th, 15th, 16th and 17th October
• Sbandieratori (flag throwing pageantry) - 15th, 16th and 17th October

• Victorian Gun Battery Salute at Upper Barrakka Gardens in Valletta every day at noon
